Upgrading or Downgrading an Individual Membership

Important Notes Before Proceeding

  • CAUTION: Upgrading or downgrading an individual membership will cancel the existing membership and create a new membership and subscription for the user.
  • The member will lose membership benefits until the new membership is paid.
  • Any refunds must be handled manually.
  • The new membership details will only be reflected once payment is received and the order is marked as complete in the system.

Steps to Upgrade or Downgrade an Individual Membership

  1. Navigate to your WordPress Admin dashboard.
  2. Go to Membership > Individual Memberships.
  3. Use the search function to find the individual member you would like to manage.
  4. Select the member from the search results.
  5. Hover over the member name and click on Change Membership to proceed.

Upgrading a Membership

  1. Select the new membership type from the dropdown list.
  2. Choose a Start Date (must be today or in the past; future-dated entries are not allowed).
  3. Leave the Next Payment field blank; this will be automatically managed by the system based on the membership plan.
  4. If the upgrade has already been paid for, check the Order status box stating Mark the subscription order as paid?
  5. If the membership is yet to be paid, leave the box unchecked. The system will generate a new order and send the member an email with payment instructions.
  6. Once payment is received, the new membership will be activated in the system.

Downgrading a Membership

  1. Select the new membership type from the dropdown list.
  2. Choose a Start Date (must be today or in the past; future-dated entries are not allowed).
  3. Leave the Next Payment field blank; this will be automatically managed by the system based on the membership plan.
  4. If the downgrade has already been paid for, check the Order status box stating Mark the subscription order as paid?
  5. If the membership is yet to be paid, leave the box unchecked. The system will generate a new order and send the member an email with payment instructions.
  6. Once payment is received, the new membership will be activated in the system.
