Steps to Switch User Profiles:
Log in to Your WordPress Admin Dashboard
- Go to your WordPress website and log in to the admin dashboard using your administrator credentials.
Navigate to Users
- In the left-hand menu of the dashboard, go to Users > All Users. This will show you a list of all registered users on your site.
Find the User Profile You Want to Switch To
- Scroll through the list of users or use the search bar at the top to find the specific user whose profile you want to view.
Switch to the User’s Profile
- Hover over the name of the user you wish to switch to.
- You will see a link that says ‘Switch To’.
- Click on ‘Switch To’, and you’ll be logged in as that user. You’ll now be able to experience the site from their perspective, including seeing what they see in the front-end and accessing their dashboard.
Return to Your Admin Profile
- Once you’re done reviewing the user’s profile, click on the ‘Return to [Your Name] link at the bottom corner of the screen. This will bring you back to your own administrator account.
Important Notes:
- User Switching is only available to administrators, so ensure you have admin permissions to use this feature.
- The feature helps you test user roles, permissions, and content access, allowing you to experience the website as if you were any of the registered users.
