Our new auto-create products feature automatically creates a product in Xero, saving you time and reducing manual data entry.
How to Enable:
1. Navigate to E-Commerce > Xero in your Agend AMS dashboard.
2. Check the box to enable ‘(AMS) Create Xero Product from WooCommerce Product’.
3. Click the ‘Save’ button to save the settings
Tip: Make sure to flag enabling this update with your finance department to ensure smooth deployment.
Once this has been enabled, any time a product is created or saved in Agend AMS it will check with Xero to see if a matching product exists.
- If no product was found in Xero which matches the SKU, it will create a product with matching name and product code (SKU)
Tip: Try to keep your SKUs short and simple. Xero will not allow Product Codes longer than 50 characters.
Tip: If you already have products in Agend AMS which are not in Xero, you can edit the products and click ‘Update’ to initiate the sync.
Tip: Agend AMS will only set the Product Name and Product Code in Xero – check with your finance department to see if any other details need to be configured in Xero for new products.
Tip about event tickets: When creating tickets, make sure to expand the “Advanced” section and enter a SKU. The system can automatically generate a SKU for you, however depending on the event and ticket name it may be too long for Xero.
Tip: At this time Agend AMS does not import products from Xero.
