# Agend Loop – community built around your members

Channels, threads and direct messages for committees, branches and course cohorts. Documents, polls and an AI assistant sit in the same place.

## Sound familiar?

- Your forum is a ghost town, and the conversation that matters is happening in an email chain you were not copied into.
- Committee papers, drafts and decisions live in inboxes, so nobody can find the current version.
- Members are talking on Facebook and WhatsApp, where you have no roles, no moderation and no record.

## One place your members actually turn up.

Channels for the whole membership, private channels for committees, and direct messages for the quiet questions. Papers are drafted in the channel that owns them, with version history and a final locked copy.

## What it does

- **Give every committee its own room** — Channels come in three privacy tiers – public, private and secret – plus a committee type for governance work. Threaded replies, reactions and pinned messages keep a long discussion readable. Members carry roles: owner, admin, moderator, member.
- **Draft the paper where the discussion is happening** — Each channel holds its own documents, edited live by several people at once with cursor presence, or one at a time with a lock. Version history lets you preview and restore, and a finished document can be finalised read-only or exported as Markdown.
- **Close the loop instead of letting it run** — Run a multi-option poll inline in the channel and see the vote counts as they land. Schedule a meeting from the composer and it posts a card with time, attendees and a join link, plus an ICS file for the calendar. Threads can be marked resolved.
- **Answer the same question once** — HelpBot is an AI assistant that members message like anyone else. It searches your policies, procedures and courses using semantic search rather than keyword matching, and keeps the conversation history between sessions.

## The surfaces a membership community actually needs

**Where the conversation lives**

- **Channels** — Public, private and secret privacy tiers; Standard, feed and committee channel types; Threaded replies with reply counts; Reactions, pinned messages, typing indicators

- **Direct messages** — One-to-one and group conversations; Find members by name or email; Mute a conversation or block a user; Read receipts on messages

- **Feed channels** — Social-style post cards for announcements; Feature a post to give it prominence; Sidebar with trending posts, courses and events

**Get the work done**

- **Documents** — Per-channel documents with a Markdown editor; Real-time co-editing with cursor presence; Version history: preview and restore; Finalise read-only, or export as Markdown

- **Polls and meetings** — Multi-option polls created in the composer; Inline results with vote counts; Meeting scheduler with ICS calendar file; Meeting card with time, attendees and join link

- **Search and discovery** — Full-text search across channels; Semantic search across policies and course content; Rich link previews, including video and certificate embeds

**Keep it under control**

- **Roles and membership** — Owner, admin, moderator and member roles; Invite by email with role hierarchy enforced; Pending invitations with actions; Promote, demote, add and remove per channel

- **Moderation** — Pin messages to the top of a channel; Moderators and admins can delete any message; Archive a channel read-only or hidden; Block a user from sending direct messages

- **Notifications** — Per-channel mute and unmute; Toggles for mentions, replies, reactions and DMs; Quiet hours with timezone; Desktop and in-app notifications

- **Access and integration** — Email sign-in with SAML SSO via WordPress; WordPress role mappings with a sync audit log; Bot and message injection APIs; Outgoing webhooks on events

## The conversation, wired into everything else.

- **Every course gets a room.** — Switch discussions on for a course and Loop creates a private channel; learners are added automatically when they enrol, and you set what access they keep once they finish.
- **HelpBot reads your policies.** — HelpBot answers questions by searching your own documents, policies and courses, so members get the organisation's answer rather than a guess.
- **What's on, next to the conversation.** — Feed channels carry a contextual sidebar with events, courses and listings, so what is happening across the platform shows up where members already are.
- **The same conversation on the phone.** — Loop ships as an iOS and Android app and a desktop app, sharing one set of notification preferences – quiet hours, muted channels and per-type toggles.

## Bring your existing members.

- **WordPress SSO + sync** — If your members already sign in to a WordPress site, they sign in to Loop. SAML SSO, user sync and role mapping turn WordPress roles into Loop permissions. A sync dashboard shows current status and a sync events log records every change, so you can prove what happened.

- **Email into the thread** — Inbound email handling means a member can reply from their inbox and the reply lands in the thread. No habit change required on day one. Outgoing webhooks and an API-first design let Loop feed the other systems you already run.

## Frequently asked questions

- **Our members are already on Facebook. Why would they move?** — Loop gives you what a Facebook group cannot – roles, private and secret channels, threaded replies that stay readable, and full-text search across every message. Feed channels give the familiar social-style scroll for announcements, so the everyday experience is not a step backwards.
- **Does this mean another login for members?** — No. Loop supports SAML SSO through WordPress, with user sync and role mapping from your existing WordPress roles to Loop permissions. Sync events are logged so you can see exactly what changed and when.
- **How do we moderate it?** — Channels use three privacy tiers – public, private and secret – and four roles: owner, admin, moderator and member. Moderators can pin, edit and delete messages, archive channels and manage membership. Deletions are soft, so the audit trail survives.
- **Will anyone actually post?** — Loop is built for the things membership organisations already do rather than open-ended chat – polls, meeting scheduling with calendar files, committee documents and course discussions. Mentions and per-channel notification preferences bring people back, and HelpBot answers routine questions so members are not waiting on a volunteer.
- **Where do committee papers live?** — Inside the channel that owns them. Documents support collaborative editing with version history, finalisation to lock a version, and Markdown export. You can restore any earlier version.
