# Agend CMS – a website that knows who's a member

Pages show or hide content by membership type, location, status and purchase history. One login across your website, portal and learning. Your team edits it all without a developer.

## Sound familiar?

- Your longest-standing member lands on the same generic homepage as a stranger who's never heard of you.
- Members-only resources sit behind a clunky second login, or an honesty system that gates nothing at all.
- Changing a page means a ticket to a developer, so the website runs weeks behind your organisation.

## The website reads the member record.

Every visitor is matched to their CRM profile through single sign-on. Personalisation rules then show or hide content by membership type, location, membership status and purchase history. A regional student member and a metropolitan fellow see different pages at the same URL, with no manual work from your staff.

## What it does

- **Show each member what's relevant to them** — Personalisation rules read the member record: membership type, location, membership status, purchase history and roles. The same URL renders differently for each visitor. No manual lists, no duplicate pages.
- **Gate the good stuff properly** — Member-only pages are gated by entitlement, not an honesty system. Sign-in is single sign-on against the member record, so access follows membership status automatically. When a membership lapses the gate closes; when it renews, it opens again.
- **Your team publishes without raising a ticket** — Editors write, preview and publish themselves, with role-based permissions controlling who can do what. Draft, published and archived states keep unfinished work off the live site. The website keeps pace with your organisation.
- **Organise content once, find it everywhere** — Content types, categories and tags keep the library structured and power site search. The same categories and topics can flow through to your email segments via the CRM. A page about CPD reaches the members who care about CPD.

## What a member-aware website includes

**Member-aware by default**

- **Personalisation rules** — Show or hide content by membership type; Rules on location, status and purchase history; Roles and other CRM attributes as conditions; Content visibility by membership tier

- **Gating and sign-in** — Member-only pages gated by entitlement; Single sign-on with the member record; Access follows membership status automatically

**Content your team runs**

- **Editing** — Editing built for non-technical staff; Draft, published and archived states; Role-based access for editors and administrators

- **Structure and findability** — Content types and collections; Categories and tags; Site search; SEO title and description per page

- **Live member data in pages** — Course and learning path listings; CPD balance for the logged-in member; Certificates with a verification link; Event listings from the same records

**Two proven engines**

- **Established WordPress build** — Elementor Pro with custom Agend widgets; Membership card, barcode and entitlement widgets; Restricted media and downloads; Scheduling, version control and multisite

- **Headless build** — Structured editor and content models; Served to any front end via the public API; SEO metadata managed per item

- **Managed service** — Australian hosting, Sydney and Melbourne; Automated backup and disaster recovery; Security updates handled as part of the service

## The website is the front door. The member record is behind it.

- **Segments drive the site.** — Membership type, status, location and purchase history held in the CRM decide what each visitor sees.
- **Learning lives on your pages.** — Embed course catalogues, learning paths, each member's CPD balance and their certificates directly in your site.
- **Event listings, live.** — Event listings and details render on your public site from the same records that handle registration and member pricing.
- **One login everywhere.** — Single sign-on connects the website, member portal and learning to the same member record.

## One outcome, two proven engines.

- **Already on WordPress** — Keep your site. Our established WordPress build runs Elementor Pro with custom Agend widgets: membership cards, member details, entitlements and gated media, all reading live from the CRM. It comes fully managed – Australian hosting, a monthly update cycle validated on staging, firewall protection and priority security patching handled by us.

- **Starting fresh** — New builds run on our headless CMS: structured content types and collections, categories and tags, a draft, published and archived workflow, and role-based access for your editors. Content is served to any front end through the public API, with SEO title and description managed on every item.

## Frequently asked questions

- **Can members see different content on the same page?** — Yes – that's the point of the platform. Personalisation rules show or hide content by membership type, location, membership status, purchase history and roles held in the CRM. One URL, a different page per member, no manual intervention from staff.
- **What's the CMS actually built on?** — We fit the engine to your situation. Established sites run on our WordPress build, with Elementor Pro and custom Agend widgets for membership cards, entitlements and gated content, managed and secured by us. New builds use our headless CMS, serving structured content to any front end through the public API. Both read the same member record.
- **Do we need a developer to update the site?** — No. Editing is built for non-technical staff, with draft, published and archived states and role-based permissions for editors and administrators. Developers are for building new things, not changing a page.
- **How does gated content work with SEO?** — You choose what's public and what's members-only, page by page. Public pages carry their own SEO title and description, so they can be found and indexed. A common pattern is a public overview that attracts search traffic, with the full resource behind the member login.
- **Does the site know who's logged in?** — Yes. Single sign-on connects the website to the member record, and the same login works across the member portal and learning. Once signed in, pages read the member's type, status and entitlements live.
